Friday, July 25 - Day 1 Depart USA for overnight flight to the Emerald Isle. Saturday, July 26 - Day 2
Then take a drive through The Burren to experience its unique karst landscape. Head south to the lively town of Killarney where you will enjoy a horse-drawn jaunting car ride to Killarney National Park. Welcome dinner in hotel. Overnight in Killarney. (B, D) Sunday, July 27 - Day 3
Monday, July 28 - Day 4 Start your day with a walking tour of Galway. Free time to shop and stroll though this lovely city. Dinner on your own tonight. Why not try some delicious "pub grub" and listen to some traditional Irish music? Overnight in Galway. (B) Tuesday, July 29 - Day 5 This morning enjoy a scenic drive with a stop in Donegal. A late lunch is included upon arrival in Letterkenny. Time to shop and explore this charming town at your leisure or take an excursion to the beautiful Slieve League, Europe's highest cliffs. Dinner on your own and Fire in the Glen performance. (Elizabethtown officials and residents can take advantage of sister-city arrangements in this friendly town!) Overnight in Letterkenny. Next take the exhilarating rope bridge to Carrick-a-Rede island and enjoy a truly clifftop experience. This 30-meter deep, 20-meter wide chasm is traversed by a rope bridge traditionally built by salmon fishermen. Visitors bold enough to cross to the rocky island are rewarded with fantastic views. Arrive in Belfast in time for dinner. Overnight in Belfast. (B, D) Thursday, July 31 - Day 7 Enjoy a panoramic city tour and learn about "The Troubles." Then proceed to the new Titanic Belfast exhibition! It is located adjacent to the slipways where RMS Titanic was built in 1911. This exciting $150 million visitor center tells the story of the Titanic, from her conception, construction and launch right through her famous maiden voyage and tragic end. Proceed to Newgrange, a prehistoric monument in County Meath, about one kilometer north of the River Boyne. It was built about 3200 BC, during the Neolithic period, which makes it older than Stonehenge and the Egyptian pyramids. Arrive in Dublin and be treated to a special folklore dinner with lively entertainment at Taylor's 3 Rock. Overnight in Dublin. (B, D)
This morning enjoy a city tour of Dublin including a visit to Jameson's Distillery in Whiskey Corner where you can sample some local brew. Free time to shop and explore Dublin. Your final night in the Emerald Isle will conclude with a concert by Fire in the Glen! Overnight in Dublin.
